Fiona has been very busy over the last few months growing and learning. At Thanksgiving she was just starting to stand up with a lot of support, and now she loves to sit on her potty on the kitchen floor and scoot around. She even chases the cat this way. She was sitting up well on her own by Christmas, and has been known to roll over, but seems to have very little interest in doing that very often. She got two bottom teeth the first week of January, loves to show them off with big grins. She isn't very interested in crawling, but loves to stand up with someone's hands or her walking wagon and walk from place to place to explore.
She's very vocal about everything. She makes happy noises and impatient noises and sad noises and sleepy noises. Of course, when she's royally mad, she can make some pretty loud *ahem* angry noises, as well.
She also mimics us a lot more now. When you look at her and grin, she grins right back. If you open your mouth wide and say ahhh, she opens wide and says ahhh. It's really cute. She's saying more consonants in her babble now. Mama, baba, and dada are sounds that show up everyday now. She often says dada, or at least da when she sees Dan, but we respond so much to it, that she says "Da!" to a lot of things now. She loves the cat and shrieks whenever she comes near.
One of her favorite games is when we put her in the car and she starts to get fussy, I'll put the pacifier in my mouth. She looks at me like it's he most hilarious thing, and grabs it out of my mouth, and puts it in her own. Then, if I say, "Hey, I want that," and open my mouth, she puts it in with a big grin. She's so adorable!
